How did you do the hair?

o.o funny you should ask, for such a brilliant artist as yourself :). Well, I try to work in layers. Starting with an hb pencil for outlining light strands then gradually working my way to the dark strokes of the 4b and 6b pencils. I always sharpen the point on my wooded 4b and 6b pencils cus they get dull really fast.

Thank you! There are so many ways to do it, a friend showed me "indenting" with is like negative drawing, or a gum eraser is good cut into a point.

My type paper isn't very good for ''indenting'' (negative hair drawing), so I kinda leave that out. I don't smudge either btw.

I used to smudge ages ago, but not any longer.I use circular shading, what paper you use? I like Bristol canson, smooth, and thick enough. Or strathmore 300, but it has a texture to it.

haha.. Okay cool, i really don't know what kinda shading I use c: I think it's a mix of hatching and cross hatching. I've been wanting to order better paper for some time now. I use copier paper! D: i.e standard printing paper. It was my enemy lol, but I've really gotten used to it. I've been thinking, if I can master this awful paper, then I'll be pro by the time i get good quality :D(aka Strathmore 300 series smooth Bristol) :D I just haven't gone about doing it.

ah! I would get some better paper, Bristol is also thick and it is needed for the fact that you need to go over and over with graphite pencils while building up your darks-lights etc. More durable!
